First Day of My Life's 1st Month Anniversary!

Dsc_0951

At this same time last month I was probably having my second glass of Cabernet celebrating my liberation: I had lost my job. Don't get me wrong, it's no celebration to lose one's secure source of income but when you've been unhappy wasting away your best years behind a cubicle you truly see this a blessing in disguise. For me, it was the first day of my new life and I was happy to celebrate. I remember calling my boyfriend and giving him the news that I've been hoping for all week. Rather than pause then break the silence with some words of encouragement behind a worried tone he invited me to some wine and cheese at Vintage Vino.

In between financial aid papers with the faint hope of perhaps finishing my I-can't-believe-you-don't-have-a-PhD-by-now college degree and a few freelance gigs stewing I'm here celebrating my 1 month anniversary of independence.

You know that feeling that something really good is just right around the corner waiting to surprise you and knock you off your high heels? Well, that's exactly how I feel tonight.

I celebrate with a freshly made glass of sangria accompanied by an abandoned cup of Badia slimming tea.

Don't ask me why I'm mixing the two. And I have noo idea which one is gonna make me act funny first.

Happy Anniversary Nery, go grab life by its testicles! xoxo

NERYLICIOUS...

You are One AMAZING Woman! Gifted and Talented in your writing; Genuine and Selfless in your friendships. ;) I have no doubt that this experience is only One of Many Great Opportunities that will be cast before you. Sometimes they arrive somewhat unexpectedly. Staring back at you is Life. Do with it what You will. Write about it what you will. Were it not for life's nudges, many of us would not push ourselves to our limits and excel at what we love. Write, Nery, write! I believe I am witnessing Greatness happen right before my very eyes! Big XO's to You, Special One. I hope you do aspire to greatness because that is where you are headed. ...And just in case "Life" happens to be a Woman... grab it by its chesticles ;) MUAH! Love ya, Girl!
